Artist's Description

However beautiful animals can be, they don't always pose for photographs which sometimes results in rather unsightly backgrounds. Liquifying the background has two purposes in that this process eliminates unsightly backgrounds and neutralizes detail, which puts all the focus on the subject.

About Josephine Cohn

Josephine Cohn

Born in the United Kingdom, Jo grew up in South Africa and immigrated to the United States in 1999. She left the corporate world a few years back and started exploring the fascinating world of photography. She is the co-author and author of Through Our Lenses and Illuminating Texas respectively, two self-published photography books. A third 130-page photography giftbook is planned to be published in the first half of 2013. This book explores and illustrates the properties of light and will focus almost exclusively on color. Jo has lived in southern United States for the past thirteen years and is now living in south-west Houston, Texas.
